Meet the Team Behind the Magic
At NGDC & Tumbling, our instructors are passionate about helping every student succeed. With years of experience in dance, tumbling, choreography, and education, our team is committed to creating a positive environment where every child feels encouraged, challenged, and celebrated.

Brynn Burkmier
Studio Owner & Director
Brynn Burkmier is a dance educator, choreographer, and studio owner with over 20 years of experience in the performing arts. She discovered her love for dance at the age of three, growing up in her mother's dance studio, where her passion and strong technical foundation were developed. Brynn is extensively trained in gymnastics, cheerleading, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and clogging.
Throughout her career, Brynn has taught both competitive and recreational dancers of all ages. She previously served as an instructor and company choreographer for Robin's School of Dance in Mobile, Alabama, The Training Ground in Jacksonville, Florida, and the MCCS Youth Center in Beaufort, South Carolina, where she taught both dance and gymnastics. She has also trained under renowned choreographers including Dena Rizzo, Carissa Seaman, and Julian Thorn. In addition to her dance career, Brynn was a cheerleader for the Mobile Wizards Arena II Football League.
Brynn has earned numerous Regional and National Choreography, Overall High Score, Title, and Top Teacher Awards throughout her career. She is also honored to serve as a judge for Talent On Parade Dance Competition, judging regional and national events across the United States and helping inspire the next generation of dancers.
As the proud owner and director of NGDC & Tumbling in Mobile, Alabama, Brynn is dedicated to providing high-quality dance education in a positive, family-centered environment. Her greatest passion is helping every dancer build confidence, discipline, strong technique, and a lifelong love for the performing arts while creating memories that last a lifetime.
Laurynn Blake
Dance Instructor
Laurynn Blake has been dancing since the age of 2 and contributes Sheffield School of the dance in Mobile, Alabama for her exceptional technique and well versed training in all genres of dance. She has trained and competed all over the US under amazing professional choreographers like Colby Shinn, Dena Rizzo, Ivan Koumaev, Twitch, and Keri Legrand. In high school, she was named UCA All-American cheerleader 4 times throughout her time as a cheerleader. Laurynn went on to dance at the University of South Alabama as a member of the Prowler dance team where she competed at the national level and was trained by many talented teachers and choreographers.
She has been an instructor and choreographer for 11 years and is currently choreographing and instructing at NGDC & Tumbling in Mobile, Alabama. In such a short time as a choreographer, Laurynn has received numerous choreography awards for her unique style and execution. While being a dance teacher is her passion, being a nurse is her other calling. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2019.
Laurynn is currently working as an RN in the surgical ICU.


Brooke Burkmier
Dance Instructor
Brooke has been teaching and choreographing for over 15 years, inspiring dancers through her passion, creativity, and commitment to excellence. Throughout her career, she has earned numerous Regional and National Choreography, Overall High Score, Title, and Top Teacher Awards.
A five-year UCA All-American Cheerleader, Brooke was honored with an invitation to perform at the prestigious Hula Bowl in Hawaii. She has also performed at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry and furthered her training in New York, gaining valuable experience from some of the industry's top professionals. Brooke loves helping dancers grow in confidence, technique, and artistry while creating a positive, encouraging environment where every student is challenged to reach their full potential.
Ethan Mayo
Dance Instructor
Ethan Mayo is and a native of Mobile, Alabama. He grew up on the gulf coast and started dancing when he was 12 years old. In his youth Ethan trained in many different styles of dance such as Jazz, Tap, Musical Theater, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Ballet.
At the age of 17 Ethan received an apprenticeship with Celebrity Dance Competition. This gave him the opportunity to train in Miami, FL and Phoenix, AZ for a show he performed in with CDC on the Royal Caribbean ship, Majesty of the Seas! After he graduated high school Ethan was accepted to the University of Alabama Theatre and Dance department. As a freshman Ethan pursued a work study program with the Walt Disney Company as a character performer in Orlando, FL. While working with Disney Ethan became very close with many popular Disney characters and performed in various shows and parades including Star Wars Weekends events! Once his Disney experience concluded Ethan returned to UA to finish his schooling and also began teaching and choreographing for The Academy of Ballet and Jazz in Tuscaloosa concurrently.
After a couple more years of studying at UA, while also teaching, Ethan was hired as a faculty member at the world-famous, Broadway Dance Center in New York City! When he began his journey to NY in 2013 Ethan joined the BDC family as a faculty member with the Children and Teen Program. While working in the CTP Ethan got to experience many different positions as a dance professional such as teaching and judging auditions for NY dance companies, giving private group classes to studios/organizations traveling to or visiting NYC, coaching and rehearsing performers in Broadway shows and much more!
Ethan is well-equipped with the experience he has gained in his career thus far, but is still eager to learn and do MORE! Now that he is back on the gulf coast Ethan is ready to explore a new chapter of his life- and he's glad that it's right here in his home town!


Kaleigh Roberts
Dance Instructor
Kaleigh is an accomplished dancer, educator, and choreographer with years of experience in both performance and dance instruction. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to perform for world-renowned industry professionals including Paula Abdul, Kenny Ortega, Mia Michaels, Stephen "tWitch" Boss, and many others, gaining invaluable experience from some of the most respected names in the entertainment industry.
Kaleigh earned her degree in Education from the University of South Alabama and currently serves as a Physical Education teacher at Alma Bryant High School. She is also the Dance Team Director for both Alma Bryant High School and Grand Bay Middle School, where she mentors student dancers while building successful dance programs.
Kaleigh brings energy, creativity, and a passion for helping every dancer grow. Her positive leadership, professional experience, and commitment to excellence inspire students to develop strong technique, confidence, and a lifelong love of dance.
Amelia Green
Dance Instructor
Amelia Green is a passionate and versatile dancer from Pascagoula, Mississippi. She has trained and competed in multiple styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, hip-hop, musical theatre, pointe, and jazz funk.
Amelia danced competitively for many years at Meta Fairburn’s Dance Academy, earning overall high-score awards and scholarships at conventions and intensives. She later continued her dance career as a member of the Perkette Dance Team at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Hail State Dance Team at Mississippi State University.
Amelia is excited to share her love for dance, performance, and technique with the next generation of dancers.
